Here is a quick description and cover image of book Well Met (Well Met, #1) written by Jen DeLuca which was published in. Though, that might be just what you're looking for! Well Matched falls solidly in the light and breezy category, if that's your vibe.Brief Summary of Book: Well Met (Well Met, #1) by Jen DeLuca I think the main problem is that there's not a lot of depth here, with the author choosing to gloss over some big, bold red flags in the MC's relationship in favor of keeping things moving. (Although since the last one revolves around some Nev Schulman-level catfishing, not necessarily a high bar.) Again, this couple is for sure an improvement from the second book, in terms of both their characterizations as well as their chemistry (and the overall arc of their luuuurve story). Yadda, yadda, yadda, he recruits seemingly mature, put-together April to be his romantic stand-in, and the sparks.well they don't fly, per se, but they definitely crackle. Despite being a golden retriever in human form, his cousins have very little respect for him, which, surprisingly, has less to do with the fact he runs around the ren faire shirtless in a kilt and more because he's committed the unforgivable sin of becoming a.gym teacher.

So, April and Mitch! They're a fun little spin on the fake dating trope, with single and 40-something mom April agreeing to be the Willow Creek heartthrob's faux-girlfriend for a family reunion. Did it finally convince me to consider attending a renaissance fair? Also no! However, I liked it quite a bit better than the shaky relationship at the heart of the second installment, Well Played, and there was definite chemistry going on (*cue suggestive eyebrow raise*). Like all of the Jen DeLuca books in this series, Well Matched is pretty dang cute.
