I love everything about this book and will be keeping it for my new grandaughter! Dragons Don’t Dance Ballet is a special book that belongs in every daycare, preschool and elementary school library. I just love and adore Esmerelda! The hardcover book with its dust jacket is very good quality. The colors are absolutely beautiful and the characters are the most adorable. The illustrations by Eric Afuso are amazing and captures the tone of the story so well. Even when other don’t agree, or don’t think they are qualified, teach your child to go for and set their minds to do what they want.
I love the story because it is teaching children that they can do anything they want to do, and encourages the try whatever it is they want to do. Jennifer Carson does such an awesome job of writing this special book. But you really need to get a copy of this sweet and beautiful book to read for yourself and see what happens. But Howard the janitor knows just how Esmeralda can dance because he watches her every night after her job is finished working the spotlight at City Ballet. She is bigger than all of the other ballet dancers, she towers over them and she will get in their way.
