In the streets and alleys of ravaged cities, the front-line forces of the Rebel Alliance are taking the fight to the enemy, pushing deeper into Imperial territory and grappling with the savage flesh-and-blood realities of war on the ground. On the battlefields of multiple worlds in the Mid Rim, legions of ruthless stormtroopers-bent on crushing resistance to the Empire wherever it arises-are waging close and brutal combat against an armada of freedom fighters. Among the stars and across the vast expanses of space, the Galactic Civil War rages.

A companion novel inspired by Star Wars: Battlefront, this action-packed adventure follows a squad of soldiers caught in the trenches of the ultimate galactic war between good and evil. The bravest soldiers.RRP: £19.99 (Hardback) / £8.99 (Paperback) / £4.NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY BUZZFEED I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about the Star Wars Universe! I found that I could then relate what I was reading to what I already knew. I found this gave an interesting angle to the story, as I had always assumed the Stormtroopers were male.Īfter a few chapters I was hooked, and got very excited when Namir, who is a member of the Rebel Alliance’s Twilight company, was transferred to Hoth. I love the fact that one of the key characters is Thara Nyende a female who is SP-475 of the Ninety-Seventh Stormtrooper Legion. The novel follows key characters from both the Empire and the Rebellion. Having said that it is so well written that I just couldn’t stop reading. Luckily at the start of each chapter it gives you some information as to the time it is set.

I initially found it difficult to get into with the time switching, and found myself having to refer back to previous chapters.

It’s set after the destruction of the first Death Star and is about the Rebel forces fighting the Galactic Empire. It’s written by Alexander Freed and is set after Episode IV A New Hope, with some of the action occurring during the events of The Empire Strikes Back. Being a huge Star Wars fan I was really keen to start reading this book.
